Packaging Redesign for the Algerian Market
Our creative team engaged in a hypothetical project centered around the iconic Jumbo Noodles brand by GBfoods, with the guiding principle of honoring the heritage of this glocal powerhouse brand.
Context and Objective: we set ourselves the challenge of modernizing the packaging for Algeria's number one noodle brand. The objective was to create an attractive, modern design that would capture the attention of young adults and families, while preserving the core values of the Jumbo brand—synonymous with quality and taste in its market for over 25 years.
Creative Approach
To meet this hypothetical challenge, we explored two creative approaches tailored to the Algerian market :
- Standard Design : Flavor-specific proposals that highlight the brand name with realistic mock-ups and iconography resonating with the Algerian audience.
- Special Edition : A limited edition design and innovative promotional architecture specifically crafted to strengthen the brand’s presence in retail outlets.
The central idea was to strike a balance between the established strength of Jumbo Cube and the assertion of a new identity for the noodle range, while considering the cultural nuances and preferences of Algerian consumers.
Outcome
The result would be contemporary packaging designs that align with the expectations of the Algerian market while reinforcing Jumbo's position as a market leader. This project demonstrates our ability to innovate while respecting a brand’s roots, ensuring a smooth transition to a refreshed and locally adapted visual identity.
